The story behind the Nic:
I lived in Holland for a while and the name stems from my amusement of their favourite food - pork ("Het Varken:" literally means "The Pig").
When I was an IRC channel a while later all the regulars started to use animal names so I went with "Het Varken" and I've been using it ever since.
I think the name also reflects my playing style - I tear into stuff, leave a big mess and don't care who I offend.
